Visited July 30, 2025 – Day 27 in India As soon as we landed in Bagdogra, I wanted to head directly to Hamleys to pick up gifts for my friend’s sons before driving to Kalimpong. We hadn’t seen each other in years, and now that we’re both moms, I thought it would be special to show up with something for her two little boys. The store at Vega Circle Mall was bright and inviting, and we were helped almost immediately. The lady assisting us was incredibly kind and patient as I described what I was looking for. She asked the right questions, made thoughtful suggestions, and never once made me feel rushed. We looked at a few options together and finally settled on toys I knew the boys would love. For a small fee, she had them gift-wrapped as well, which was such a help given we still had a long drive ahead. The wrapping was cheerful and neatly done, and I could already imagine their excited little faces when they opened them. What really stood out to me was how smooth and pleasant the whole experience was. The staff seemed genuinely happy to help, and the energy in the store was warm and easy — even with other families around, it never felt chaotic. We left with exactly what we came for, beautifully wrapped and ready for the road, and I felt completely satisfied with the visit. Thoughtful service and a calm, helpful environment — just what I needed that day.
